We're seeking candidates to join our Global Supplier Services team within Corporate Services as a Sourcing Manager who will be responsible for managing Indirect sourcing activities. Commodities include Professional Services, Benefits, Marketing, Construction & Facilities Management. In the Corporate Services division, we provide solutions that enable Morgan Stanley's workforce, across our global workplace locations, to effectively support and deliver value to our business clients. The Sourcing Manager is a Director position within Firmwide Sourcing. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for all elements of the Source to Contract process, including business demand management, supplier management, competitive bidding, sourcing project management, negotiations, and contracting. What you'll do in the role: - Act as a quarterback to facilitate both new supplier engagements and service/product renewals with a primary focus on the assigned category and strategic suppliers - Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and work collaboratively across multiple levels and geographies to develop sound sourcing and commodity strategies that drive business value and mitigate risk - Leverage all tools and resources available, including but not limited to developing and conducting competitive bids and leveraging benchmarking/advisory companies - Create, present, and defend sound financial analysis and interpretation of supplier proposals to stakeholders as well as Sourcing Leadership - Work cross-functionally with Software Asset Management; Legal and Compliance; Third Party Program Management; and Finance on deal analysis and preparation, contract drafting and execution, funding and budgets - Fulfill a variety of administrative requirements including but not limited to preparing supporting documentation for sourcing projects, conducting various due diligence tasks to enable contract execution, preparing purchase order requests and facilitating resolution of payment disputes.
