Job Description:
The Director of eCommerce at Pluralsight is responsible for driving decisions around our eCommerce - Cart and B2B - environments. Their strategy, user access, and configurations in design and discovery calls. They prepare for critical updates and releases, understanding their benefits and risks. They also work with the team and partners to test, educate, train, and communicate about upcoming changes.

What you’ll do:
Lead a team responsible for user experience, conversion optimization, development, testing and eCommerce website product management
Defining the roadmap for e-Commerce and work closely with Development teams to perform Proof of Concepts on provided design and technology, etc.
Continually assess the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it
Continually research current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed
Leverage AI and machine learning technologies, such as recommendation engines, natural language processing, and automated A/B testing, to optimize website performance and user experience.
Ensure the team's technical competencies are up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices, such as proficiency in UX/UI design tools, web analytics tools, SEO tools, and technologies & processes to identify and prioritize customer requirements.
Experience you’ll bring:
Strong cross-team and cross-department partnership skills for negotiating smart agreements
Understanding of Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, Mulesoft is an advantage
Requirements:
15+ years of total experience, 7+ years in a leadership/management role of software engineering experience and a proven track record of successfully architecting and building highly available, scalable, and low latency systems for high traffic applications
An engineering graduate with computer science or information technology background.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders, engineers, and product managers
Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to dive into system architecture, design, performance metrics, code, test plans, project plans, deployments, and operations
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, such as experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), user behavior analysis, funnel analysis, and site performance tracking.
Basic web technology skills, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with AI applications in web optimization, such as personalized content, user behavior analysis, and predictive analytics.
Strong cross-team and cross-department partnership skills for negotiating smart agreements
Travel Requirements:
While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.
