The Director, Global IT Engineering and Applications is a newly created role where you will be responsible and will play a critical role in leading and managing a global/local team of engineers while ensuring the smooth, consistent delivery of engineering and architecture services supporting IT infrastructure and system design needs across multiple geographical locations. You will be responsible for driving operational and design excellence, fostering cultural sensitivity, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology services that align with our business objectives. This position reports to the Vice President, Infrastructure Operations & Platforms and will be located in Bangalore, India and will report onsite. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Build a newly created organization supporting all aspects of Cepheid’s infrastructure organizational design needs
• Create focus and alignment around process, standard work and establishing a focus on DBS (Danaher Business Systems).
• Develop a culture of coaching, mentoring and development with engineers and other technical leaders reporting to you.

The essential requirements of the job include: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and support of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and software systems, across different geographical locations.

• Partner with the Director, Global IT Operations based in Sunnyvale, to build a scalable, durable and customer focused infrastructure approach encompassing multiple technologies including but not limited to Cloud, Network, Voice, Identity and AI tooling
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices, standard operating procedures, and ITIL-based processes to enhance design efficiency and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security requirements, implementing robust cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans.
• Develop and maintain the Infrastructure Technology Roadmap over 1-3-5 year turns
• Partner with the Enterprise Architecture function to define short and long term solutions for Manufacturing, R&D and Shared Services
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the company's IT infrastructure and making recommendations for adoption as appropriate.
• Develop functional relationships with key stakeholders including software and hardware development teams for improved long term planning

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Strong cultural sensitivity and experience working with teams from different cultural backgrounds, preferably in a global or multinational organization.
• Proven track record in leading and managing complex IT infrastructure projects and operations across multiple geographical locations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies to ensure data protection and compliance.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse global team.
• Relevant certifications in the infrastructure and security space.

The position is being hired as Hybrid with a preference to the Pacific Time Zone

The salary range for this role is TBD.  This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
