Director, CAPEX and Manufacturing Operations

Job Summary

As the leader of CAPEX and MRO Buying Desk, you will be responsible for managing the the engagement with an outsourcing partner responsible for sourcing and category management of capital expenditure (CAPEX) and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) spend across the company's global operations. You will oversee the relationship and performance of the outsourcing partner and be accountable for the categories globally. You will report to the Global Transformation Lead and work closely with Senior Procurement and operations stakeholders from various functions and regions.

Key Responsibilities -

• Develop and implement the global sourcing strategy for CAPEX and MRO categories, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives and sustainability goals.
• Manage the operations of the delivery team of outsourcing partner in India, including performance monitoring and talent management -
• Collaborate with outsourcing partner on category management, relationship with strategic global / zonal suppliers, internal stakeholder’s alignment and procurement excellence
• Monitor and manage the outsourcing partner's performance, ensuring compliance with the service level agreement and delivery of expected outcomes 
• Support Global PMO in governance and SRM with outsourcing partner, eventually taking over the operations - Consolidate knowledge, tools and processes across zones to centralize the categories
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Operations incl. engineering teams, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on CAPEX and MRO procurement
• Drive cost savings, value creation and innovation through effective supplier management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate Capex budget collation for Greenfield/ brownfield expansion projects

Education & Experience :

•  Bring a mix of strong global program management in matrix organizations and deep category knowledge of CAPEX and MRO 
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain management or a related field. A master's degree or a professional certification in procurement is preferred.
• 10-15 years of relevant experience in CAPEX and MRO procurement, preferably in the FMCG industry or a similar fast-paced and complex environment. 
• Experience in managing outsourcing partners and ensuring service quality and delivery.
• Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings, value creation and innovation through strategic sourcing, category and Supplier relationship management.
• Strong knowledge of the global CAPEX and MRO Supply markets, suppliers, trends and best practices. 
• Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills. 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills. -
• Ability to work in a matrix organization across different cultures and geographies.
