Job Description

We are seeking Director, Business Development for CEC (Cloud, Enterprise & Computing) team at Flex. This person will ideally be based in Bangalore (or) Chennai, India, reporting to our Lead for Communications Business Development.

In this role, you will be In-charge of qualifying new customers, developing relationship and business with them as well as existing customers, achieving pipeline and bookings results according to assigned unipersonal and team targets.

What a typical day looks like:

• Develop new strategic alliances with key customers within the CEC (Communications, Enterprise and Cloud) marketplace.
• Research and recognize customers' business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex resources were mutually beneficial.

• Define business priorities through a broad and far vision of their technology needs, to include initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration.
• Collaborate with current customers in the development of new products and alternative go to market solutions and act as a focal point in delivering Flex’s solutions which include concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services support and reverse logistics.
• Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit.
• Represent Flex Ways of Working when interacting with internal & external contacts.

• Understanding of key financial metrics and capability to read P&L, balance sheets, ROI indicators, taking actions to meet customers' needs and Flex targets.
• Ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives, and key clients.
• Able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Some of our preferred experiences:

• BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of experience working in business development in India / SEA
• Experience working within Manufacturing Industries (EMS , OEM or Contract Manufacturing)
• Financial acumen
• Knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques and ability to grow a pipeline of business within current and new accounts.
