The Banking Alliance team at PayU plays a vital role in ensuring Bank partnership and relationship to optimizing the company’s revenue and business growth. Working cross-functionally, we support PayU’s business objectives by managing direct and indirect income lines. Our team is dynamic, collaborative, and integral to PayU’s success in navigating an evolving regulatory landscape in both domestic and international contexts
About the Role:
As the Director– Banking Alliance, you will be a hands-on leader responsible for managing, leading team and managing their growth and performance, also overseeing banking partnership and relationship. You will lead efforts in ensuring the incremental business from Bank as merchant and partner. Additionally, you’ll drive process improvements, providing strategic input, and ensuring all processes align with regulatory standards. This role requires a keen understanding of Banking solutions, Payments Products and offers an opportunity to contribute to PayU's strategic financial initiatives.
A successful candidate will work closely with, and provide support to all the respective stakeholders , the business and wider finance teams (Example; Controllership and Treasury) as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate & work closely with Business teams. Understand the short term and long term needs of the business and plan ahead for any resourcing needs.
Work with banks as a channel to generate revenue, either through merchant conversations or bank product deals.
Be informed of the payment industry landscape, competitions/competitors and client requirements at various levels.
You will lead efforts in ensuring the incremental business from Bank as merchant and partner.
Inter City travelling will be key to perform the job. Ability to meet CXOs and senior leadership.
Experience of online business and navigate among banks and Merchants wrt Govt and Education.
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
Responsible for driving revenue aiming to achieve monthly or annual targets, open to travel, easily collaborates with internal teams.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Requirements:
12+ years of experience in Banking Alliances.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment.
Collaborative working style. Must work well in a team environment.
