Director, Agile Coach

What does a successful Agile Coach do at Fiserv?
You will be leading agile transformation team with customer focus, outcome driven goals and coach a team of professionals who excel in delivering world class solutions as part of Issuer Solutions to our clients. The Agile Coach is responsible for coaching, mentoring and training leaders, product owners, scrum masters and agile teams with adoption of agile mindset, incremental and iterative product and project delivery, institutionalization of Agile principles & values, the continuous improvement of the process and dynamic of the team. Your direct and indirect involvement will result driving critical programs, initiatives & building high performing engineering teams.


What you will do:


  • Assess teams and Agile processes to derive coaching actions that increase maturity levels and drive continuous improvement.
  • Engage the organization by skillfully applying professional coaching skills, maintaining a strong coaching presence, and partnering with Delivery Managers and Leads to foster collaboration.
  • Deliver agile capability services, including training, workshops, embedded coaching, spot coaching, and team start-ups, to develop foundational skills and enhance team performance.
  • Partner and negotiate with stakeholders at Delivery Teams and Program Teams levels to achieve Agile maturity goals and objectives, while supporting ongoing Agile programs and initiatives.
  • Understand the local context of the team and organization to ensure the healthy application of agile practices and provide assistance to teams and programs.
  • Support the staffing of Scrum Masters on engagements based on the needs of the team, program, or organization, and mentor them to enable successful engagements.
  • Act as a neutral process holder who guides groups through processes that help them come to solutions and make decisions.
  • Derive actions from metrics to support Agile teams in achieving higher levels of maturity.
  • Coordinate with the Enterprise Agile coaching team across sites to understand progress, address issues, and ensure collaborative learning.
  • Actively participate in Agile Communities of Practice (CoP) within the organization, contributing to increased organizational business agility through training, experience sharing, and case studies.
     

What you will need to have:


  • 15+ years of experience working in Agile Teams and playing the role of a Agile Coach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Clarity, and Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence)
  • At least one certification as Agile Coach (ICC-ACP, CSM, CSPO, PSM, ACP etc)
  • At least one Certification in Agile at scale preferred (SAFe, LeSS, DAD, Spotify etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in at least one of the roles on a Scrum Team.
  • Experience in setting up agility at delivery Team level and able to mentor and advise multiple delivery teams within the organization
  • Coached in at least 2 or more organizations, departments, or programs.
  • Diversity of coaching experiences that can be demonstrated using different engagement examples, and which include experience working with team and program levels
  • Ability to work with remote/distributed teams and teams with varying level of agile maturity.
  • Highly adaptable to a constantly changing environment.
  • Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Knowledgeable on new practices and coaching techniques
  • Active content presenter or volunteer in the Agile community
  • Active in writing books, articles, white papers on topics related to Agile
