JOB PURPOSE:
As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Digital Workplace Manager to join our dynamic team.
The role is part of the Technology Platforms team.
The newly created Ice Cream Technology function will drive the technology set-up, standalone design and implementation of all required technology capabilities to enable Unilever’s Ice Cream business to become a fully functioning standalone company, separate from Unilever.
The IT Digital Workplace Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the digital tools, platforms and technologies that enable Ice Cream employees to work effectively and efficiently fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
The successful candidate will be one that has significant IT expertise with a proven record of leading large-scale transformations and has a passion for building world class IT solutions that make a meaningful impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Workplace Strategy and Vision: Define and implement the organization’s digital workplace strategy, aligning it with business goals and employee needs. Continuously assess emerging technologies and trends to enhance the Digital Workplace experience. Develop roadmaps for integrating new tools, new features that improve existing platforms. Implement a solution that provides an accurate view of Customer Experience (CE) and the processes that will lead to continual CE improvement.
End User Computing Management (EUC): Oversee the selection and delivery of global EUC services, including provision and build of EUC devices, mobile device provision and management, application packaging and deployment and security patch deployment. Provide strategies for capex, opex or lease procurement and device lifecycle management.
Collaboration and Communication Tools: Define, develop and implement the strategy and solutions. Manage the IC employee migration of Micorsoft 365 services including Sharepoint sites. Ensure the provision and maintenance of integrated technology into the workplace for meeting places and digital conferences. Manage and optimize the tools to ensure seamless integration that promotes collaboration and streamlines workflows
Deskside Services: Ensure high-quality support for end-users, addressing technical issues promptly and effectively. Implement the now standard automations such as self-heal, perform continuous research and implement future AI solutions that reduce EUC incidents and service requests with the goal being their elimination.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of internal and external resources, providing guidance and support.
Project Management: Manage projects related to end-user computing and collaboration services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures to protect end-user devices and data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of end-user computing and collaboration services, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance end-user knowledge and adoption of IT tools and services.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to procure EUC and mobile devices, integrated Digital Workplace solutions and ensure services the vendors provide are working optimally.
Innovation: Research and promote emerging services or technical features with particular emphasis on Autonomous AI, evaluating potential benefit to the organisation.
Skills and Experience Required:
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Digital Workplace technologies covering appropriate EUC equipment, collaboration platforms, Infrastructure and tools
Collaboration Tools: Experience with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
Vendor and Partner Management: Experience in selecting and managing workplace technology vendors. Understanding of licening models of SaaS tools.
Experience: Proven experience in managing Digital Workplace technologies in a corporate environment.
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading internal and external technical support teams.
Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Security: Expertise in Digital Workplace security best practices and compliance standards.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, … and ITIL v4 Foundation are highly desirable.
