The Role
As a Digital Solutions Consultant I with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- AWS Data Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data architectures and infrastructures on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform. This role involves working with various data sources to build scalable, reliable, and efficient data solutions that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
- Data Pipeline Development: Design and develop robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from diverse sources, ensuring data is prepared for analysis and reporting.
- Data Modeling and Warehousing: Create and manage data models and warehouses, optimizing them for performance and scalability to support business intelligence tools and analytics.
- ETL Process Management: Develop and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to source data from various systems, creating unified data models for analytics and reporting.
- Collaboration with Data Teams: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and reliability in data processing and transformation.
- Data Governance and Security: Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
About You
- To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- 8 to 10 yrs of experience required
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically required. Relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, are advantageous.
- Proficiency in AWS services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, EMR, Glue, Lambda, and Kinesis. Strong skills in SQL and experience with scripting languages like Python or Java.
- Data Engineering Experience: Hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, data modeling, and working with big data technologies.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions to optimize data processing and storage.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
