Educational Background: B. Tech (mechanical / Civil)
Work Experience: At least 15 years of experience in the construction industry with 5 years working at a managerial level. Good knowledge of quality assurance and maintenance is required.
Having responsibilities nationwide and reporting directly to the General Manager Operations, you will manage a dedicated operation team nationwide with the support of three regional Managers. Your mission statement is to ensure safe and efficient operations at the right quality, quantity and cost leading to management and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Management
Review and consolidate monthly regional production forecast by coordinating with Operations Managers and regional sales team.
Manage customers’ requests and complaints and propose solutions in agreement with your hierarchy.
Review and approve monthly expenses budgets and ensure adequation with resources & customer planning.
Monitor site expenses weekly, compare with approved budget, analyze variances, and take corrective actions if necessary.
Organize management meetings regularly to review operations at regional level i.e. make sure corporate targets are met, ensure proper coordination with concerned operations team members, get feedback from site activities, suggest actions against problems met, instruct work instructions and provide help whenever needed.
Production and quality
Supervise the coordination of threading activities nationwide and ensure optimum production and utilization/allocation of manpower and equipment.
Supervise overall tools and consumables related issues such as tool life, consumption and local sourcing (vendor development).
Guarantee production and quality control standards as well as delivery commitment within established production cost (standard cost).
Analyze variances between actual and standard costs, highlight major variances and suggest corrective actions for approval.
Review and analyze operations related reports and interact with regional managers to ensure timely resolution of production and QC problems as all as well as maintenance problems.
Make sure that quantity of threads manufactured at site does not exceed the quantity stated in work orders as well as two times the quantity of couplers supplied.
Ensure strict application of Dextra Bar end preparation manual.
Ensure strict adherence to customer’s safety rules and corporate safety policy.
Inventories
Monitor inventories of tools and consumables at all stores and project sites as well as appropriate min/max stock levels.
Based on actual inventories and short term demand at regional level, review and approve stock transfer requests received from Operations Managers, communicate to planning and ensure timely dispatch of required tools from central store to regional stores and project sites.
Participate to monthly stock taking process following accounting department procedure.
Maintenance
Ensure strict application of the preventive maintenance program.
Guarantee close coordination between operations and maintenance teams for the planning of equipment servicing as well as major preventive maintenance actions.
Coordination with other departments
Keep regular and friendly communication as well as sharing of information between all functions of the company and ensure such principle is valued at regional level.
Approve reconcilement of invoices monthly considering actual quantity of threads manufactured and deductions towards outside threading and customer storage usage.
