Job Summary:
You will be working in an Agile team within the Thales DIS Business Line, for Advanced OTA (AOTA) products. For more details, visit https://www.gemalto.com/mobile/networks/advanced-connectivity-framework/simover-the-air As a team member of this team, you will be responsible to deploy Thales solution in customer data center (On Premises) or on cloud (AWS), integrate product with customer backend systems, perform E2E tests and execute UAT with customer, within a technical context of public and private clouds, Java application servers, and cloud technologies to serve major worldwide telecom operators and device vendors.”
Job Responsibilities:
You will drive the automation of multiple parts of infrastructure (Infra as a code) and deployment systems, striving to improve and shorten processes to enable engineering and operations teams work smarter and faster.
You will collaborate with related product development teams to drive automation of configuration management, build, release, deployment and monitoring processes including team’s instruction on the developed tools.
You will work with IT and development in order to create the integration and continuity of the code holding holistic view of their working environments.
You will provide professional support for the developed automations, responding to incidents in an effort to avoid system outages or restore availability to meet SLAs.
You will design & deploy highly available, scalable & complex Thales solution on different cloud enviornments like AWS or GCP or on prem infrastructure.
You will be integrating Thales solution with various customer/or vendors backend solutions.
You will design and develop infrastructure interfaces and stay abreast of industry best practices and contribute ideas for improvements in DevOps practices, delivering innovation through automation to enable standard deployable units of infrastructure through multiple environments into production.
You will research new technology on the market.
You will participate in the planning, design, and implementation efforts.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in computer Science (or a related discipline).
4-6 years of experience in writing deployment and full life cycle for complicated systems and defining architecture requirements for deployment and automation.
Strong experience with expert level in automated deployments.
Devops development and support experience (like Jenkins pipelines, Nexus, NPM, GIT, Maven)
Strong knowledge of system integration, E2E testing and proven experience with automation tools.
Experience in Deployment tools - Ansible (playbooks and roles), Kubernetes and Containers (Docker)
Strong experience in designing and deployment of large & high availability & scalable solutions on private cloud and AWS : VPC, EC2, ECS, RDS, NLB, EFS, Cloudformation, Cloudwatch, SQS, Redshift, KMS, VPC.
Strong experience in Apache.
Experience in on premises cloud Openstack.
Strong Linux / BASH scripting / administration skills .
Experience managing databases - MySQL
Strong networking skills, TCP/IP, HTTP(S) protocol, SOAP & REST API.
Experience in Telecom domain will be highly preferred.
Ability to debug and diagnose large distributed and high available systems and proactively work with other engineers to ensure quality products.
