Role Overview:We are seeking a seasoned engineer to join our Enterprise Data Platform team as a DevOps engineer, reporting to the Capability Lead – QA & DevOps. As a key member of McAfee’s enterprise data platform team, you will be responsible for DevOps activities on the Databricks platform.
This role requires a deep understanding of:
· Platform management
· DevOps best practices
· Platform automation
· CI/CD
· Uptime management
This is a Remote position located in India. We are only considering candidates located in India and are not providing relocation at this time.
About the role:
- Manage, maintain, and oversee DevOps activities on the Databricks platform
- Act as responsible party for the reliability and uptime of the platform; manage the platform to minimize downtime and ensure high availability and reliability
- Manage and implement configuration of Databricks clusters and version control and oversee deployments
- Optimize Databricks workload performance
- Manage notebook version control system
- Provide oversight and thought leadership on quality automation, RPA, and data observability on the platform
- Maintain and manage infrastructure for platform tools such as Collibra
- Support access & provisioning management
- Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices
About you:
- Bring 4+ years of experience in DevOps, platform management, automation, and site reliability engineering
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or related field
- Have hands-on experience with and understanding of the following:
- Platform reliability
- Collibra or other data catalog tool
- Spark/Scala
- SQL/SparkSQL
- Access management & provisioning
- Python/PySpark or similar programming language
- Databricks
- CI/CD pipelines
- Agile
- Git and version control
