Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Frontend Developer Advocate to join our team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of cloud-powered web development, showcasing how AWS can supercharge frontend applications and workflows.
Key job responsibilities
As a Frontend Developer Advocate for AWS in Bangalore, you'll be responsible for showcasing how AWS can enhance frontend development and inspiring developers to leverage cloud services in their web projects. Your role will involve a mix of hands-on coding, content creation, and community engagement. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing demos and prototypes that demonstrate the integration of AWS services with frontend technologies
- Creating educational content such as blog posts, tutorials, and workshop materials
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations and workshops to developer audiences
- Engaging with the developer community through social media, forums, and Q&A platforms
- Staying current with the latest frontend technologies and AWS services
- Collaborating with internal teams to provide feedback on developer experiences and needs
- Contributing to the AWS frontend developer ecosystem through open-source projects or experimental coding
- Traveling to events and conferences to represent AWS and share knowledge with the developer community
A day in the life
Your day might start with a team standup to align on projects. You could spend the morning coding a demo showcasing server-side rendering for a React app using AWS Lambda and API Gateway. After lunch, you might write a blog post about optimizing frontend asset delivery with Amazon CloudFront. The afternoon could involve answering developer questions on social media platforms. You might end your day experimenting with integrating latest Web APIs and AWS services to create innovative web experiences.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in frontend development, with a focus on creating performant, scalable web applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and strong experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with AWS services, especially those relevant to web hosting and frontend development.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with experience delivering technical content to developers of varied backgrounds.
- Understanding of backend concepts and how they integrate with frontend applications.
- Demonstrable experience engaging with developer communities, including creating technical content, public speaking, or active participation on platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, or developer forums.
- Willingness to travel as required.
