Job Title: Design Manager - Large Mixed-Use Development Project

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Design Manager to lead the design process for our large-scale mixed-use development project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex design projects and collaborating with diverse teams of architects, engineers, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the design process for the mixed-use development project, ensuring coherence and integration across various components (residential, commercial, retail, and public spaces).
Manage and mentor a team of design professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and quality standards throughout the design phase.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure design compliance and project objectives are met.
Coordinate with construction teams to ensure seamless transition from design to execution.
Implement sustainable design practices and innovative solutions to enhance project value and environmental performance.
Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications at various project stages.
Conduct regular design reviews and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mixed-use development design.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large-scale design projects, with a focus on mixed-use developments.
Strong portfolio demonstrating successful completion of complex architectural projects.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in industry-standard design software and project management tools.
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in architecture, Urban Planning, or related field.
Professional architecture license.
LEED or other relevant sustainability certifications.
Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) management.
