- Key missions of the position:
- Manage the transfer of technology between global and India sites, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery objectives are met, and complete localization and industrial setup on time with FAI/validation approval.
- Conduct business case analysis to justify ROI for projects based on India/global volumes and TMC savings.
- Support Tender team with timely, accurate, and optimized submissions.
- Optimize and streamline digital processes for seamless operations.
Responsibilities
- The execution of the technology transfer Projects according the Centre of Competency (CoC) recommendations and relevant regulatory requirements in local site.
- Project planning, Project scheduling, Resource Management, Project execution, Project Monitoring, Risk Management, and on-time delivery focus.
- Continually interact with internal and external customer to have good understanding of project R & O. Develop plans to minimize risks, actively build and manage opportunities to improve project profitability & additional commercial opportunities
- The coordination and control of the project progress
- Coordinating the communication towards the internal and external customer on all technical topics with the support of the project Team
- Supporting the project finance controller to address any commercial Implications of technical scope changes
- Budget planning, control and ensure regular management reporting
- Evaluate the technical decision on development of Test bench, Critical equipment’s and tooling’s with respect to CoC’s recommendation.
- The generation and maintenance of key documentation (Technology Transfer plan Gap Analyses, Risk Management, Action and decision logs, Project time line, Technology transfer report) with the support of the Project Team.
- successful transfer of new processes and products into Company up to commercial implementation and handover to the production team with respect to QCD benefits
- Convening the Technology Transfer interdisciplinary groups (Special process specialist) , assigning and coordinating the tasks related to the introduction of new processes/projects within the site
- Detect problems if any in advance & inform the senior management of potential difficulties in achieving deliverables to the end customer(s)
- Increase the Localization content and reduce the Total Manufacturing cost of the product to improve the contract margin.
- Monitor Phase in & Phase out process critically when localization is completed.
- Monitor and control the Total Manufacturing cost (TMC) in ERP and timely report to management.
- Consolidate and validate inputs from SFU engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive tender submissions.
- Manage the on-time submission of tender inputs, minimizing escalations, and optimizing NRC for critical projects.
- Lay the groundwork for Digitalization implementation in Transit India, coordinate with teams, ensure proper documentation, and manage part serial number scanning data collection.
- Business Process Coordination: Organize business process discussions, identify fit-gaps, coordinate with functional process owners and IT to close open items, and act as a bridge between IT and functional teams to manage escalations.
- Initiate and support the transition to paperless processes and simplification.
