Read and understand customer requests, preparing test plans as per relevant standards and certification scheme procedures.
Visit customer sites to discuss technical aspects, supporting the sales team in securing deals.
Provide cost estimation based on testing and engineering time for product evaluation to the sales team for proposal development.
Interpret national/international standards for products to be evaluated and educate customers on standard application and applicable requirements.
Correspond with test labs and other service providers, providing technical support where necessary.
Conducts safety evaluation of the products and complete the necessary documentation for certification.
Conduct mini audits of testing labs or customer test premises in line with IEC 17025 norms and CB Practices.
Inspection and witnesses testing in line with approved program and practices, record results cum observations accurately in timely manner and close the observations in co-ordination with all stake holders.
Draft detailed test reports and certificates and complete the review process with CB team for final issue of deliverable.
Prepare and maintain project schedules, status reports, billing details, and other necessary statistics.
Participating in customer relation activities, conducting seminars, workshops and customer meetings to expand TDE business scope and volume.
Participates in standard development committees to represent Intertek and provide inputs to the technical points to support standards development.
Support team in Certification project execution of MV & HV Product category of SWG products (vide CB/DS/ES/ GIS etc as per IEC 62271), Transformers/Reactors (as per IEC 60076), Instrument transformers (as per IEC 61869 series).
Perform all activities necessary to bring 10X growth in the TDE business.
Experience:
5+ years of laboratory experience in Inspection, Routine and Type test certification of LV PSC & MCC Assemblies as per international standards vide IEC 61439,IEC 61921,IEC 61641 and AS/NZS 61439 and etc.
Good knowledge of LV SWG products of IEC 60947 for assemblies and exposure in direct type testing IEC 60947 products.
Good understanding and on hand experience in handling documentation requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and conformity assessment as per ISO/IEC 17065, especially for Power LV TDE products.
