The Opportunity:



Deputy Manager – Strategic Sourcing will act as Procurement/Strategic sourcing SPOC for all the Direct, spend (Raw & Packaging Material) & Indirect (MRO) for our Dehradun manufacturing facility  based out our office  in Gurgaon. This will primarily include support Sourcing/Procurement for manufacturing of our Specialty chemicals & Diagnostics business.


What we're looking for:
Education:
Graduate in Chemistry/ B. Tech In Chemical Engineering/ B Pharma and compulsorily form a Diagnostic Manufacturing Background with a preference of  Diploma in Material Management.
Experience:
Min 10-12  Years of work experience in Procurement/ Strategic Sourcing out of which min 7-8 years in a chemical sourcing for Diagnostics Manufacturing  company. Should have experience in chemicals & packaging material buying. Should have exposure of  handling inward logistics as well.

  • Responsible for Strategizing Procurement Activities for Raw material, Packaging material & MRO for that Diagnostics Manufacturing facility.
  • Ensuring 100% compliance with laid down policies, SOP, Govt Regulations while entering PO’s/Contracts with the Vendors.
  • Responsible for quick decisions in Sourcing, Vendor Identifications during procurement of Key Raw materials, Packaging Material & MRO Items by devising and using fruitful sourcing strategies.
  • Discover profitable Vendors and initiate business and organization partnerships.
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Proposed to Finalize Procurement details of orders and deliveries.
  • Working closely with Sales, Quality & Operations on Customized & On New Customer enquiries.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ON-GOING FUNCTIONS:


  • Work with production, planning & Plant Engineering Team to understand the requirement / changing needs and supply timely the direct & Indirect materials for the manufacturing facility.
  • Developing Alternate vendors for driving cost Savings & Single source elimination project, improving credit periods, working on optimizing the total cost of ownership for all Procurement Categories.
  • Actively involved in New Product development initiatives along with Sales, Quality Team for all Procurement Categories Work with Regulatory & Safety team for the dynamic requirement of the Govt laws and able to swiftly engage the same with the suppliers.
  • Keeping an Eye on the Products which could be regulated by Customs / Law / FDA / BIS etc.
  • International Sourcing & Negotiating on Bulk Volumes Imports for the products Globally, as required by Business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the vendors and negotiate with the vendors for better price.
  • Constant monitoring of the markets, harness opportunities to improve input raw material prices.
  • Sharing market updates/price fluctuations with Sales Heads as & when required. Ensuring the Organization’s Budget is balanced as per recognized constraints.  Tracking & Monitoring of the SLA’s designed for Procurement activities
