Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional to execute our manufacturing goals and objectives for satisfying customer requirements for mechanical products. He must be proactive. high with energy, motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment in manufacturing. This role is for Manufacturing engineering function.

Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for working with Engineeringteam to understand existing and new products being introduced or transitioned from other facilities into the production floor.
• Develops manufacturing processes,designing, modifying. and testingmanufacturingmethods and equipment; conferringwith equipment vendors.
• Create process flows, process requirements Uigs, fixtures,equipment's, machines,consumables etc.), and manufacturing work instruction for preduct.
• Define Material Masters. Bill of Materials and routingsin SAP and validate the same with drawing requirements.
• Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production,labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimatingfuture requirements.
• Exposure to production floor layout and  define facility requirements
• Work with Engineering/ Design teams to define specifications, requirements,drawings for jigs / fixtures / equipment I machines required for the product line.
• Co-ordinate with Supply Cha into identify procurement sources, interact with vendors for the procurement, installation, verification and validation of all items required for setting up the product line
• Perform capacity analysis to define the resources requiredfor meeting customer demand volumes.
• Train and develop recruited operators to desired level of skill and competency
• Co-ordinate with multiple functions like Procurement. Quality, Planning etc. to ensure product line readiness to build prototypes, First Articles, and ramp up production until the product line meets the required level of output in terms of delivery and Quality and hand over to Production function.
• Work as Manufacturingteam along with multiple functions to set up product line
• Interact with US counterparts / customers to understand requirements etc.
• Work closely work with team for welding brazing technology in manufacturing.
• Exposure to Manual TIG welding, Auto TIG Welding ,Plasma welding ,Torch brazing and other metal joining processes
• Exposure/Experience  to  special  process  procedures  covering  metal  joining  procedure, filler  metal  handling,  shielding gas procedures, welder I brazing operator qualification, Equipment qualification meeting AWS specifications
• Develop weld maps,WPS, PQR for various joint classifications
• Carrying out and interpreting results of joints carried out by welding and brazing of aerospace grade Stainless Steel and Nickel based alloys.
• Perform inspections on products with the help of non-destructive testing methods such as Digital Radiography, Macro examination, Ultrasonic testing and other relevant inspection procedures
• Identify and implement customer,regulatory special process specifications and requirements into manufacturing applications by incorporating these specifications into the company procedures and provide training on the application of procedures. specifically with a focus on welding processes.
• Conduct audits with outsourced suppliers for welding processes in accordance to customer specifications. These audits are specific to the special processes of weldingin accordance with the customer and NADCAP.
• Investigate, analyze and provide solutions to problems for processes and product nonconformance. Key member in driving root cause, corrective action using QCPC/ 8D/SQC process or similar other RRCA tools. Exposure to VSM, Standard work, Cell design, TPM.
• Review  and   approve   changes   to  engineering  documents/specifications   assuring  continued  compliance   with   customer requirements. Ability to read, understand, follow Drawings,Manufacturing Documents and Safety procedures,
• Ability to perform simple preventative maintenance on the machines
• Must have experience in Visual Inspection of welded joints
• Other related activities and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical engineering/Industrial Engineering/Process Engineering with International Welding Engineer (IWE} from International Institute of Welding (llW) through standard route (Equivalent to European Welding Engineer -EWE) with 7 to 9 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry.

  
  

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical processes/Electronic  Devices, drawings, specifications  and industry standards.

  
  

• Experience in Blueprint reading, Technical writing ,Manufacturing tool design, Industrial or occupational safety, Manufacturing process design and analysis

  
  

• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Procedures, process quality, technical Information

  
  

• Experience in Aerospace Industry will be desirable.

  
  

• Relevant experience in SAP ERP system.

  
  

• Awareness of Lean Manufacturingand implementation tools I Statistical Process Control

  
  

• Good communication skills, self-motivator

  
  

• Must have 2+ years' experience in Welding and Welding process development.

  
  

• Welding experience relating to material properties in high temperature alloys is required.

  
  

• Familiarity with Welding ,brazing processes, its operation and maintenance.

  
  

• Experience in resolving issues in a timely and effective way using proper QC tools.

  
  

• Knowledge of QMS, procedures in accordance with the AS9100.

  
  

• Experience in the Aerospace industry is highly preferred

  
  

• Good verbal ,written, interpersonal communication skills, good team player.

  
  

• Must comply to company policies, procedures and safety instructions

  
  

• Should workin shifts and on extended hours based on manufacturing requirements.
