As a Deputy Manager for Comminution, you will lead the development of innovative vibrating screening solutions and oversee product engineering for our dynamic crushing and screening business.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Handle pre-order and post-order engineering for the comminution business.
  • Work independently with GPDM and NX tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with the technology group for necessary information.
  • Ensure error-free engineering deliverables.
  • Oversee system engineering for the comminution business (crushing, screening, sand wash).
  • Develop cost-effective plant solutions for the crushing and screening industry.
  • Design and select screen media panels.
  • Address shop/site issues and implement solutions.
  • Work towards achieving short-term and long-term goals.
  • Achieve targets as per business requirements.
  • Determine work schedules to meet delivery and quality goals.
  • Monitor progress on all departmental aspects.
  • Expand the range of services and products, including cost-effective alternatives.
  • Ensure all outputs adhere to quality standards and group specifications.
  • Grow and strengthen the engineering function.
  • Implement cost control measures.
  • Coordinate inter-departmental activities.
  • Provide pre-order support to sales and localise products
  • Follow departmental processes and procedures.
  • Maintain documentation as required by IMS systems.
  • Train team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Travel to vendor sites when required.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:


  • BE / ME in Mechanical Engineering
  • 12+ years of experience in the comminution/aggregate (crushing and screening) industry, with specific experience in the crushing and screening sector.
  • Vibrating Screen and Feeder Design and selection is desirable
  • Knowledge of screens and feeders, mechanical engineering skills, GDNT skills, design tools (NX, AutoCAD, GPDM, etc.) is required.
  • Knowledge of vibrating equipment (screens and feeders), crushers, magnets, grizzly, and cost-optimized system design solutions for the mining, crushing, and screening industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
