Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in database development and performance tuning, specifically with Oracle and Postgres. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust database solutions while providing technical guidance and support.


Software Requirements:


Primary:


  • Database Management: Oracle, Postgres
  • Database Performance Tuning

Secondary:


  • Big Data Technologies: Spark, Scala
  • Cloud Services: AWS (including AWS Glue, S3)

Overall Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a database developer for Oracle and Postgres environments.
  • Design, develop, and optimize database solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Perform database performance tuning and optimization to enhance system efficiency.
  • Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for database-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of database development with organizational goals.

Technical Skills:


  • Database Development:


    • Hands-on experience with PL/SQL using Oracle and Postgres.
    • Strong experience with Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages, and performance tuning.
  • Performance Optimization: Ability to performance tune SQLs, application programs, and instances.


  • Technical Assistance: Providing technical assistance, problem resolution, and troubleshooting.


  • Big Data Knowledge: Good to have hands-on experience with Spark.


  • AWS Knowledge: Familiarity with AWS services such as AWS Glue and S3 is an added advantage.


  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.


  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile processes and methodologies.


Experience:


  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on database technologies.
  • Proven experience with software development methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and participating in code reviews.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements.
  • Write, test, and deploy database solutions to support various applications.
  • Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements in database management.
  • Provide technical support to team members and assist in resolving technical challenges.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing requirements.
