Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Database Developer with expertise in Oracle PL/SQL to join our team in the CDIO IB-Market Regulations division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing applications using Oracle databases. You will write complex SQL queries, optimize database performance, and maintain data security. This position requires mid-level experience (8-10 years) with a strong focus on database functionalities and performance tuning.

Good to Have:
Overall Responsibilities:- Write and optimize PL/SQL statements for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Develop stored procedures, packages, and functions in PL/SQL to enhance database functionalities.
- Collaborate with developers and project managers to design and implement robust database solutions.
- Conduct performance tuning of PL/SQL queries to ensure optimal database performance.
- Ensure compliance with database best practices and standards to maintain data integrity and security.
Technical Skills:Primary Skills:
- Strong SQL and Oracle PL/SQL knowledge.
- Proficiency in query tuning and performance optimization.
- Basic knowledge of Bash commands and scripting.
- Familiarity with version control tools like GitLab.
- Knowledge of Autosys scheduling is desirable.
- Ability to produce secure, clean, and efficient code that is stable and operational.
- Experience in designing, planning, and delivering solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with global stakeholders.
Secondary Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Self-learner with a curious mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage demanding, high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Experience in the financial sector is a plus.
- Adaptable, with the ability to work across teams and functions globally.
- Comfortable with a hybrid working model (3 days/week in the office).
Experience:- Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a Database Developer specializing in Oracle PL/SQL.
- Proven track record of implementing and optimizing Oracle PL/SQL code in a production environment.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Day-to-Day Activities:- Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for various database applications.
- Optimize existing PL/SQL queries and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment of database solutions with business requirements.
- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in database development and management.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Oracle PL/SQL or related fields are a plus.
Soft Skills:- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with global teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on producing high-quality, reliable code.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
