Ideal candidate should have minimum 4 - 7 years work experience as Database Administrator primarily in Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL database administration and operations.
Should have hands-on experience in Windows, Linux OS server and SQL Database (IaaS, PaaS) installation, upgrade, migration, patching, optimization, troubleshooting and database performance issues
Hands-on experience in database design, database backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity,
Experience in setting up Azure SQL databases (IaaS, PaaS) and migration of databases from on-prem to Azure, Azure to Azure
Configure, troubleshoot identity, and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance standards specific to databases.
Configure ETL, replication, HA/ DR solutions in Azure.
Experience in Database standardization and governance activities.
Experience in scripting languages PowerShell, Json, ARM templates, and automation tools.
Experience in SSAS, SSIS and SSRS configuration, migration, troubleshooting.
Experience in handling external audits for databases and working with auditors for data validation and fixes is a plus.
Experience in NoSQL databases and DB containerization is a plus.
Fix database security vulnerabilities and work closely with Application, Information & security team.
Experience on ITIL process such as Incident, Service Request, Change and Problem management.
Proficiency in cloud technologies Microsoft Azure (mandatory) and AWS (is a plus) administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Implement monitoring, logging, and performance tuning solutions to ensure the availability and performance of database and cloud infrastructure. Tools: App insights, Azure monitor, New Relic, Grafana, Datadog or any opensource.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures, and best practices.
Experience working across cross-functional teams and driving change.
