Job Description
As our team continues to expand rapidly, we are seeking to hire a Data Scientist. The ideal candidate will possess experience and skills in the following areas:
- Define, execute and manage large scale ML model solutions into production.
- Build MLOps pipelines to support development, experimentation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, verification/ validation, and monitoring of AI/ML models.
- Develop processes and tools to perform model re-training, model performance evaluation and score optimization for existing ML models and troubleshoot any issues.
- Be able to interpret performance evaluation results, provide alternative improvements and present the findings to other data scientist groups across regional teams.
- Build and maintain high performing ETL processes, including data quality and testing to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
- Create necessary validation and documentation to support the model approval process with the Model Risk Management group to make it production ready.
- Create data dictionaries, setup/monitor data validation alerts and execute periodic jobs, ensuring timely delivery of model outputs to Visa’s clients.
- Collaborate with Data engineers, Data scientists and various groups within the organization to identify areas of improvement, bottlenecks and re-use existing frameworks/processes.
- Strong understanding of development and implementation aspects of ML/AI, especially on billion-scale datasets
- Develop and implement a machine learning solution for our Global Solutions team. This includes managing the entire lifecycle of machine learning models, from their creation and testing to their deployment and monitoring on a large (global) scale.
- Optimize the MLOps process by applying industry best practice like sampling techniques, batch processing, utilizing distributed frameworks and implementing code optimization techniques
- Utilizing Visa's extensive data assets to create innovative, data-driven analytical solutions. These solutions should combine business knowledge, statistical rigor, and problem-solving skills to address significant business challenges.
- Furthermore, you will be responsible for extensive collaboration with regional stakeholders and counterparts, in order to build scalable practice globally.
- Develop automated pipelines of MLOps component like model Inferencing, model Validation for multiple models, quality check and automated retraining if the model fails and selecting best models through a control/target framework.
- Experience in Marketing Models, Customer Churn Model, Multiclass Classification Model, Models with Imbalances Dataset
- Experience of conceptualizing and designing end to end ML Solutions and pipelines and establish industry best practices, to be followed in the organization
- Strengths in Machine Learning, Model Monitoring/Validation, Basic Statistical Concepts, OOPs and Functional Programming
- Experience with Clustering, Classification and Regression ML Algorithms likes Random Forest, XGBoost, K-Means, Logistic Regression etc.
- Understanding of metrics and statistical concept to develop and automate model monitoring and quality check framework
- Strong programming skills in building data pipelines using PySpark, Hive, Airflow.
- Experience working with scheduling tools (Airflow, Oozie) or building data processing orchestration workflows.
- Hands-on experience working with large scale data ingestion, processing, and storage in the Hadoop ecosystem
- Experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries in Bigdata environment.
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environment and exposure to command line utilities.
- Experience in designing MLOps Architecture including data ingestion, feature engineering, model development pipelines, inferencing, validation, retraining with reusable and scalable code

Essential Functions
- Use statistical concepts, predictive modeling and designing analytical framework to optimize customer experience, revenue generation, and other business outcomes.
- Work as a team in development, implementation, maintenance, and redevelopment of machine learning models, and implement ML Ops best practices. Ensure models are built with scalability, flexibility, and production deployment in mind.

- Good understanding of agile working practices and related program management skills
- Design and develop end to end model development, deployment and monitoring plan for the ML Solutions
- Provide mentorship to Data Scientist on implement industry best practice and executing the project effectively

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience of development of robust and scalable AI/ML/Data Science solutions and products for large scale B2C applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Marketing Research or a related technical field
• Hands-on experience with modern distributed systems such as Hadoop/SQL or Apache Spark
• Hands-on experience with Python and other data analytics/programming tools such as Python
• Hands-on experience in the application of predictive modeling, machine learning techniques, ML-Ops
