What are my responsibilities?
1. Maintain network to customers, business experts and other subject matter experts to understand
business data analytics requirements and identify data analytics driven business opportunities
2. Conduct data exploration and identify relevant data sets and new relations in data
3. Identify further data requirements and integrate such data
4. Develop and test prototypes in an industrial environment, validate and communicate results to
answer targeted business questions
5. Develop marketable (product grad e quality) analytic models, configure and deploy algorithms,
selects optimal tool and define visualization method/tool to display results
6. Set up visualization systems to display results in most appropriate way based on cognitive science
7. Define and provide requirements to IT infrastructure
8. Determine sustainable processes to support fast gro wing data volumes and ensuring of data
quality and data accessibility together with the data architect
9. Collaborate with Enterprise IT, service and product busine ss units to maintain analytics models
10.Implement and manage big data analytics projects and present results to stakeholders inside a nd
outside the company
11.Explore new innov ative technologies and open source projects
What do I need to qualify for the job?
1. Degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
etc.)
2. St rong Analytical skills
3. Sound knowledge on s tatistics/stochastics
4. Hands-on programming experience (of min imum one year)
5. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. SAS , R, Matlab, C, C++, Java, Python,
PHP, JavaScript)
Experience in working with large data sets, incl. SQL coding (of minimum 6 months)
7. Experience in data integration, data transformation, evaluation of data quality and da ta cleansing
8. Hands-on experience in implementing analytical algorithms (e.g. prediction models)
9. Generally IT-savvy (able to solve day-to-day IT challenges independently)
10.Experience working with SAS Tools (Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, D ata Integration Studio,
Visual Analytics) is an added advantage
11.Good problem solving skills
12.Good communication skills (verbal and written)
13.Strong project management skills
14.Good time management and orga nizational capabilities
15.Open to travel for business
16.Knowledge in MS Excel, Ac cess, PowerPoint
