Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s data science teams play a critical role in driving strategic insights and decisions across the organization.


Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join the Lenovo Experience Group (LXG) data science team at Lenovo. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, a deep understanding of statistical and machine learning methods, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will work closely with various business teams to leverage data for improving decision-making and driving innovation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets from various sources to support business objectives and product development.
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and improve customer experiences.
  • Perform data exploration and visualization to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business analysts, to integrate data-driven solutions.
  • Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of different strategies and initiatives.
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations and reports.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and industry trends to continuously enhance our data capabilities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics; Graduate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and deep learning techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, Seaborn).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
