Overall Responsibilities:


  • Design and implement data models for large data warehouses.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into conceptual and physical data models.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to create data flows and document data catalogs, mappings, and transformations.
  • Standardize data architecture and enforce metadata management practices.
  • Engage in code and change management reviews to ensure compliance with data standards.
  • Support data migration projects and ensure data integrity across systems.

Technical Skills:

Data Modeling:


  • Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin.

Database and SQL:


  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases.

Data Warehouse Development:


  • Familiarity with data warehouse development processes.
  • Experience in data migration projects.

Data Architecture:


  • Ability to standardize data architecture and enforce metadata management practices.
  • Understanding of cloud data platforms and their integration with existing systems.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data modeling and data warehouse development.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data models for large-scale data warehouses.
  • Experience with data migration projects and ensuring data integrity across systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with business analysts and development teams to translate requirements into data models.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Design and implement data models based on business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to create data flows and document data catalogs, mappings, and transformations.
  • Standardize data architecture and enforce metadata management practices.
  • Engage in code and change management reviews to ensure compliance with data standards.
  • Support data migration projects and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in data modeling and data management.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data modeling or database management are a plus.
