We have an immediate opening for a Data Management Technical Lead/Product owner in our Pune India office. This is a hybrid role where a physical presence in the office will be required to engage in face-to-face collaboration among teammates.

The Data Management Technical Lead/Analyst position is responsible for leading the technical support and implementation of the Data Management tools: such as Alation Enterprise Data Catalog, SAP Information Steward, Precisely Management Studio, Qlik suite, SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), SAP Datasphere, HANA.  Responsibilities includes technical knowledge of the applications, upgrades, and maintenance.

As a member of a global team, they must have the ability to communicate effectively and build effective relationships with many various levels of the organization, especially key business partners, process owners, data analysts, and developers.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated, experienced Technical Lead to oversee the implementation and ongoing technical support of data management tools including but not limited to Alation Enterprise Data Catalog, SAP Information Steward, Precisely Management Studio, Qlik suite, SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), SAP Datasphere, HANA. The ideal candidate will have data experience, including data catalog, data quality, data governance and management. They will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of tool implementation, provide technical guidance and support to ensure successful deployment and utilization of the platforms. Additionally, the Technical Lead will collaborate closely with data analysts to understand data requirements, optimize data workflows, and provide technical expertise to drive the business value-based use of data tools.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support, implementation, and management of tools used within the data management organization.
• Define and prioritize the technical product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers and analysts
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical environments ensuring consistency thought each environment.
• Define work process to improve and simplify maintenance tasks.  Keep track of upgrades to continuously improve the product.
• Primary responsibility: Technical ownership of data management tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on data tool use, stay updated on new features, updates, and best practices related to tools, and implement enhancements as needed.
  • Provide technical training, guidance, and support to end-users to resolve issues maximize adoption and utilization of the data tools.
  • Responsible to track tool upgrades, including timing and support packs.
  • Lead tools set up: source connections, APIs, configuration of tools, support in defining work process.
  • Accountable for troubleshooting, testing, opening support cases and problem solving with vendors as required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting guides, best practices, and job aids for support.
  • Desire to monitor and report on key metrics related to data catalog usage, data quality, and governance compliance.
  • Share technical knowledge and expertise with team members, stakeholders, and end-users through documentation, presentations, and workshops.

Requirements:

• Up to 8+ years of experience in Applications Development and/or Business Intelligence / Database work, with a focus on requirements analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with terraform and Azure DevOps for provisioning infrastructure
• Driven team player who is self-motivated and detail oriented, with a desire to dig in and lead the team technical as it pertains to new tools.
• Single contributor mindset with ability to work collaboratively in teams.
• Proven experience as a product owner or product manager, preferably with expertise in data catalog, or data management or analytics solutions.
• Deep understanding of data catalog concepts and experience with Alation or similar data catalog tools.
• Strong API and data integration experience and solid understanding of underlying data structures.
• Awareness of data privacy considerations and regulatory impacts to data use.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in agile/scrum methodologies a plus.
• Ability to support and drive the technical roadmap for Air Products data management tools.
• Understanding the technical requirements of each tool.
