About the job:The Red Hat Salesforce PRM (Partner Relationship Management) team is looking for a Data Integration Engineer. In this role, you will have responsibility for designing and building data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses, Salesforce, or other storage solutions, while optimizing processes for efficiency and reliability. You should have the ability to understand the needs of the business and translate them into technical solutions within the context of the desired system architecture, focused on efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. You’ll work as part of a scrum team to complete integration development work, as well as define end-to-end process implementation strategies.What will you do?Work with Product Management to understand data-related business processes and requirementsUnderstand the system architecture documented by the Enterprise Architecture team and design solutions that align with itBe responsible for the design and development of data pipelinesCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests and wants from the underlying, true business needsUnderstand the Salesforce data modelEnsure solutions are portable so they can be promoted to additional environments, including production, by an automated deployment pipelineMeet team standards for solution design, code, configuration, testing, and qualityParticipate in peer reviews to provide and receive constructive feedbackWork as part of a scrum team as well as on your own with minimal supervisionWork with other technical teams to build integrated solutionsSupport and troubleshoot integration issuesWhat will you bring?8+ years of data integration design and development experienceHigh-level of proficiency in developing complex SQLExtensive experience in working with relational databasesProficiency in developing using Informatica SaaS for ETL and for automated data movement / integrationExpertise with Python developmentExperience working with integrations with SalesforceBachelor’s degreeAbility to design solutions, break large solutions down into parts, and support the delivery of those solutions by other developersAbility to understand data “beyond the code” and its relevance to key business processesAbility to understand and troubleshoot implemented codeAbility to understand an implemented architecture and deliver on technical specificationsAbility to accurately scope, plan, and estimate the level of effort for tasks, with an appropriate balance of risk and effortAbility to work on your own and manage multiple-task assignmentsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skillsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgmentThe following are considered a plus:Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Loyalty Management, Rebates ManagementExperience with the deployment of Salesforce metadata using the Salesforce Command Line Interface (CLI)Experience with DBT is preferredExperience with FiveTran is preferredExperience with Starburst and Snowflake is preferredExperience with CI/CD and automated data schema deployments is preferredExperience with at least one of the following Source Code Management (SCM) technologies or similar: GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, gitExperience with DevOps automation using one of the following or equivalent: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, JenkinsAdvanced degree in the area of specializationAbout Red HatRed Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterpriseopen source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
