Introduction to role:
Join our Operations team as a Data Governance Analyst, where you will be responsible for implementing a range of data governance activities to protect our company's data assets. This role will allow you to maximize the value of our data while ensuring legal, ethical, and security aspects are safeguarded. You will either work individually, managing projects within the manufacturing area, or contribute to the effective operation of the whole team through collaboration and engagement with peers and leading key projects and initiatives.
Accountabilities:
As a Data Governance Analyst, you will contribute to the development of functional Data Strategy and Data Governance frameworks within the manufacturing area. You will apply your subject matter knowledge to effectively shape resolutions to complex queries and provide data governance consultancy to major initiatives within Manufacturing. You will also work with experts across the manufacturing area to define Critical and Key Data Elements and design data standards metrics. Furthermore, you will manage the production of effective procedures to ensure that each data asset is governed throughout its lifetime within your area of expertise. Lastly, you will develop processes to drive change and improvement activities relating to data literacy, culture, and compliance.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, data or technology discipline or equivalent number of years of experience.
Demonstrated experience and subject matter expertise within the data disciplines and domains.
Experience of inputting into strategy and the creation of an Operating Model.
Knowledge and experience with regulated and/or legal environment and requirements (e.g., GxP, data privacy and security).
Experience of Manufacturing MES systems PAS-X, TrackSys and Historian.
Experience of Data Governance tools such as MDG, RDM and MDM.
Experience of Data Product Governance.
Proven change management, interpersonal, assertiveness and negotiation skills.
Robust working experience in international and intercultural settings.
Fluency in English.
Master’s degree in business administration, Information/Data Science, Informatics, computer science, economics, or related discipline.
Experience in life sciences and healthcare.
Experience of Data Cataloguing tooling such as Collibra.
Network of relevant contacts and relationships, including external links.
Data Governance and Data Management education and certifications.
Experience of Business/IT partnering for the implementation of Data Governance-related solutions.
Applied data management and data science skills, including experience with related tools.
Experience in data ownership or stewardship.
Proven track record of publishing relevant data governance and policy topics in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and other scientific proceedings.
Strong consulting skills.
