In this vital role you will involve supporting Product Team initiatives that enable compliance initiatives, system life cycle and risk mitigation. You will lead assessments and solutioning of integrations for data ingestion, transformations and interactions between systems and develop integrated data solutions to support visualizing data across several R&D applications.Partner with IS and Business customers to ensure solution delivery of solutions following SDLC practices.Part of project/product team, willing to jump in and do programming/code-reviews as required. Some hands-on programming (SQL/Scripts) is encouraged.Resolve data integration related issues. Coordinate with vendor for resolving issues and bug fixesChips in towards design and rapid Proof-of-Concept (POC) development efforts for automated solutions that improve efficiency and simplify business processes.Research PV capabilities and supporting technologies as needed to suit business requirements and provide gap analysis.Ensures design, development of software solutions is meeting Amgen architectural, security, quality, and development guidelines.Responsible for supporting and leading technical root cause analysis and works with product teams/vendors to resolve PV systems related issues.WinWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. We are seeking an Automation/Integration Engineer to be part of the Safety IT product team with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of Software Development Process experience ORBachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of Software Development Process ORDiploma and 7 to 9 years of Software Development Process experience5+ years of experience within a regulated industryExpertise in the Software Development Process (SDLC), 21 CFR Part 11, EU's Annex 11, and GAMP® 5 requirements, particularly their relevance to PV systems (GCP Guidelines).Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate within the organization.Experience working with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Sprint and Scrum), and DevOps practices.Experience with JIRA1 year experience using AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Learning (ML) and API solutions (e.g. Mulesoft)Knowledgeable about Gen AI technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft CopilotProficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages JavaScript, Python etc.Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Postgres SQL, PLSQL, SQL Server1-2 years of experience in designing, developing, deploying, and operating end-to-end automated solutions/platforms across SaaS, Cloud, and On-prem.Experience in building various machine learning modelsSome experience in automation software platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, PowerAutomate, etc.) is requiredExperience with AWS Services like EC2, S3, Redshift/Spectrum, Glue, Athena, RDS, Lambda, and API Gateway is a plusA strong customer service focus and ability to build effective working relationships with team members, customers, and management.Outstanding collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.Confidence in raising action points with senior individuals, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with IT Service Management platforms, preferably ServiceNow.Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex challenges in drug discovery with dataCollaborative spirit and effective communication skills to work seamlessly in a cross-functional teamAn ongoing commitment to learning and staying at the forefront of AI/ML advancements.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated expertise in a scientific domain area and related technology needsUnderstanding of scientific data strategy, data governance, data infrastructureExperience with cloud (e.g. AWS) and on-premise compute infrastructureExperience with stakeholder management, leading a team of 20, ensuring seamless coordination across teams and driving the successful delivery of technical projectsFamiliarity with data analytics and scientific computing platforms such as Databricks, Dash, Plotly, Spotfire and related programming languages like SQL, pythonExperience creating impactful slide decks and communicating dataAbility to drive projects/company initiatives using Agile methodologyWe understand that to successfully sustain and grow as a global enterprise and deliver for patients — we must ensure a diverse and inclusive work environment.Professional Certifications:SAFe for Teams certification (preferred)SAFe Product Owner and SAFe Product Manager (preferred)Soft Skills:Excellent leadership, coaching and team management skills.Strong transformation and change management experience.Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.High degree of initiative and self-motivation.Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.Team-oriented with a focus on achieving team goals.Strong presentation and public speaking skillsThriveWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates’ professional and personal growth and well-being.In addition to the base salary, Amgen offers competitive and comprehensive Total Rewards Plans that are aligned with local industry standards.Apply nowfor a career that defies imaginationIn our quest to serve patients above all else, Amgen is the first to imagine, and the last to doubt.
