Job Description:


Reporting to DPO and Head of Compliance and Governance (Regulatory and Data, Digital and Technology)


Responsibilities:


  • Assist and take responsibility for key elements of the Data, Digital and Technology (DDT) Programme with a key focus on Data Governance and Retention Programme (managing both commercial and legal requirements in relation to Data, Digital and Technology) other relevant requirements.
  • Inform, advice and issue recommendations to DDT queries from internal stakeholders on global Contracts, Data Transfers, AI, Cyber, Data and Techno-ethics, Special Projects/Initiatives, IT, Data Governance and wider relevant legal support.
  • Assist and take responsibility for Data Contract Review, Specialist Data Contract Support, Data Contract Review Process and the internal Intra-Group Data Sharing Agreeement.
  • Review and advise on data related clauses in contracts.
  • Advise and engage with colleagues on a global scale with DDT advice for external bids and projects.
  • Assist key stakeholders in gap analysis and readiness assessments.
  • Review and provide risk mitigation actions for new projects and initiatives.
  • Support the management of data incidents and provide all necessary support to the Head of Data Compliance in the event of a significant incident where required.
  • Deputizing for DPO and Head of Compliance and Governance if/where appropriate.
  • Training Stakeholder Groups on DDT topics.
  • Support COO and CDO office, via DPO and Head of Compliance and Governance, on specific projects and requirements in relation to DDT.
  • Reporting on DDT Status, Compliance, Governance and Risk.

Experience:


  • Data Governance knowledge, experience and/or qualification.
  • Data Protection trained (CIPP/E) and knowledge of global data protection laws.
  • Legal academic background.
  • Cyber security experience (experience with ISO27001, IEC 62443, NIST, NIS-R etc).
  • Security cleared.
  • Awareness and knowledge of evolving AI legislation in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Appropriate commercial awareness.
  • Ability to translate current commercial, legal, AI, ethics and data knowledge into compliance requirements, policy and processes.
  • Integrity and high professional ethics.
  • Ability to handle information and business affairs with secrecy and confidentiality as appropriate.
