Job Description:


Reporting to Head of Regulatory Compliance, Data Governance and Data Protection Officer via DDT Specialist.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in key elements of the Data, Digital, and Technology (DDT) Programme, Data Governance.
  • Programme, and Data Compliance Programme (including GDPR and other global data compliance requirements).
  • Provide support and recommendations to internal stakeholders on DDT and Data Compliance queries, including global contracts, data transfers, AI, cyber, data and techno-ethics, special projects, IT, data governance, data privacy, and personal data processing and protection.
  • Support the review and management of data contracts, including the Data Contract Review Process, internal Intra-Group Data Sharing Agreement, and data-related clauses in contracts.
  • Assist in reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments and provide risk mitigation actions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues globally to provide DDT and Data Compliance advice for external bids and projects.
  • Help key stakeholders with compliance gap analysis and readiness assessments.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating risks for new projects and initiatives.
  • Support the management of data incidents and provide necessary assistance to the DPO and Head during significant incidents.
  • Assist in training stakeholder groups on DDT and Data Compliance topics.
  • Support the COO and CDO office on specific projects and requirements related to DDT.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of correspondence, team sites, global documentation, Privacy Notices, Privacy Statements, SOPs, work instructions, and guidance notes.
  • Assist with managing Subject Access Requests and other data subject requests.
  • Resolve administrative problems and inquiries, book meetings, and complete other team administration tasks.
  • Assist with the management of group email inbox and volume of queries.
  • Manage monthly reporting and collation of team and programme progress.

Requirements:


  • Legal academic background, particularly with contracts.
  • Basic understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR.
  • Basic knowledge of data governance practices.
  • Familiarity with cyber security principles and standards (e.g., ISO27001, IEC 62443, NIST, NIS-R).
  • Awareness of evolving AI legislation in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Appropriate Commercial awareness.
  • Ability to assist in translating commercial, legal, AI, ethics, and data knowledge into compliance requirements, policies, and processes.
  • Ability to research and distil information to solve complex commercial data issues.
  • Experience in data privacy, data protection, information management and governance, compliance, legal, IT, data, or project fields.
  • Integrity and high professional ethics.
  • Ability to handle information and business affairs with secrecy and confidentiality as appropriate.
  • Pragmatic with the ability to communicate effectively with management within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, data subjects, data protection authorities, and other controllers and processors across national boundaries and cultures.
  • Adequate self-awareness and confidence to acknowledge knowledge gaps and seek to fill them from reliable sources.
