As a Data Delivery Director with a focus on operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that enterprise data platforms and processes run seamlessly, meeting the operational demands of our stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance of the data and analytical platforms. Role Overview:
As Data Delivery Director for operations, you are responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and ensuring seamless delivery of data services. Your responsibilities will include:
Operational Excellence & KPI Management
Drive maturity of Data Operations, ensure design includes operations and solutions are build for scalability
Oversee the daily operations of enterprise data platforms to ensure uninterrupted service and system reliability.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.
Continuously optimize processes to deliver cost-effective and high-quality services.
ITIL Process Management
Establish and maintain robust operational processes adhering to ITIL standards, ensuring repeatable and predictable service delivery.
Develop and enforce policies for incident management, change management, and problem resolution to minimize downtime and improve service quality.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by applying Lean principles and other methodologies.
Design & Build Contributions
Collaborate with architects, platform analysts, and development teams to ensure operational requirements are integrated into the design and build of new systems and services.
Provide input on solution designs to enhance maintainability, scalability, and efficiency in day-to-day operations.
Advocate for automation and self-service solutions within the design process to reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.
Participate in lifecycle planning for new platforms, ensuring smooth transitions from build phases to operational readiness.
Stakeholder Management
Be a trusted advisor
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs, manage expectations, and ensure alignment of operational goals with business objectives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for escalation of operational issues, driving resolution in a timely and effective manner.
Platform Lifecycle Management
Manage the lifecycle of data platforms, including upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning, while adhering to budgetary and compliance requirements.
Oversee security and compliance to ensure platforms meet regulatory standards.
Vendor & Partner Performance
Manage relationships with vendors and partners, ensuring their performance meets contractual obligations and operational needs.
Drive cost efficiency and service excellence through effective vendor governance.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid disruption.
Manage issue resolution processes effectively, ensuring accountability and learning from failures.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor cross-functional and partner teams to achieve operational goals.
Foster a high-performing culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Qualifications:
Preferably Master’s degree in a related discipline and 10+ years’ experience in a related (Operational) field
Strong executive presence; ability to partner closely with Divisional leadership at multiple levels
Excellent leadership and partnering skills required (partnering and leading peers and colleagues with no formal authority, influence without authority)
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking required; ability to link People Analytics reporting with business outcomes
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to adapt to different levels within the organization
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills
Ability and capacity for self-direction as well as the ability to work within various project teams
Ability to adapt to changing assignments, multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities

Expertise in identifying risks and managing high-pressure incident resolution.
Budget Management
Experience in managing large operational budgets and optimizing costs without compromising service quality.
Leadership & Collaboration
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and deliver results.
Process and Change Management
Hands-on experience in implementing ITIL-based processes for change and incident management.
Strategic Thinking & Continuous Improvement
Capability to align operational strategies with broader organizational goals, ensuring sustainable growth and improvement.
