We are looking for Data Architect.
Before our software developers write even a single line of code, they have to understand what drives our customers. What is the environment? What is the user story based on? Implementation means – trying, testing, and improving outcomes until a final solution emerges. Knowledge means exchange – discussions with colleagues from all over the world.
Join our Digitalization Technology and Services (DTS) team based in Bangalore.
You’ll make a difference by:
•Being part of an international data analytics team with diverse backgrounds, utilizing state-of-art data analytics methods to accelerate Siemens internal digitalization.
•Interacting regularly with internal customers and other data teams across Siemens as a consultant, enabler, and mentor.
•Driving pragmatic approaches to solve complex business problems leveraging your data expertise.
•Designing and implementing ready-for-production DataOps methods and pipelines improving the way data teams develop, test, and deploy data products. Keeping abreast of new products and product improvements and constantly work on innovating and improving our modern data stack.
•Creating visibility for the team’s activity and products, communicate successes and business value generated by applying modern data architecture and modelling frameworks.
•Understanding cloud-native technologies and platforms.
•Being familiar in data and AI-related agile software development lifecycle methodologies, development, unit testing and integration frameworks.
•Your expertise on reusing and automation.
•Leveraging collaborative data development tools that let data teams work more effectively.
•Participating in code reviews, retrospectives, and lunch-and-learns
•Designing and implementing effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data
•Shaping and implementing the data architecture, including standards for data models, metadata, security, reference data such as product catalogs, and master data such as customers and products.
•Taking technical ownership of key projects and manage those projects with the key stakeholders from the business
Job Requirements/ Skills:
•8+ years’ work experience in Software Engineering especially in professional software product development.
•Experience with data modelling frameworks like Data Vault, Dimensional Modelling, Kimball & Inmon
•Expert programming skills in SQL and preferably Python
•Understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and how to establish them
•Working with major Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and associated warehouses and tools (Snowflake, DBT)
•Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
•In-depth understanding of database structure principles
•Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
•Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
•Very good command of English
•German is a plus
