Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analytics professional with a strong focus on SQL and Tableau to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data mining, reporting, and visualization, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and deliver high-quality analytics solutions.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using Tableau.
- Create SQL scripts to extract data from underlying systems for analysis and reporting.
- Perform data mining, data validation, and data mapping/design to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Prepare data for use by Tableau, establishing connections to various data sources.
- Add or create dimensions, measures, and calculations to enhance data visualizations.
- Conduct data modeling in Tableau Desktop to support analytical needs.
- Support the integration of Power BI as needed for additional visualization solutions.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including requirement negotiation and expectations management.
- Document data analysis processes and results for transparency and future reference.
Categorywise Technical Skills:
SQL:
- Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience in data mining and creating SQL scripts to support reporting needs.
Data Visualization:
- Proficiency in developing dashboards and reports usingTableau.
- Familiarity withPower BIis a plus.
Data Analysis:
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques, data validation, and data mapping/design.
- Experience in data modeling and establishing connections to data sources.
Technical Acumen:
- Ability to effectively prepare and clean data for visualization and reporting purposes.
Experience:
- 4 to 7 years of experience in data analytics, visualization, or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and managing BI solutions using Tableau.
- Experience in a managerial capacity with a focus on business acumen and stakeholder management.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Design and develop dashboards and reports in Tableau based on stakeholder needs.
- Execute SQL scripts for data extraction and analysis, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Conduct reviews of data visualizations and reports to ensure they meet business objectives.
- Document processes, findings, and methodologies used in data analysis and visualization.
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science,Information Technology,Data Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Tableau or data analytics are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
