Data Analyst, Operations Global Services Team
You will be part of Global Services, which comprises procurement, real estate, and facilities management functions. We are responsible for delivering value by providing safe, efficient, and effective procurement and real estate services to Thomson Reuters businesses and functional operations. Our overarching mission is to ensure our colleagues spend less time and energy on ordering Services, ensuring their primary focus is building great content and products that delight TR customers and grow TR business.
In Global Services, these objectives are achieved through an offshore Services Operations team in India, a near shore Center of Excellence and Service Delivery Management team in Mexico and Costa Rica, that supports the on shore in country teams.
About the Role:
In this role as a Data Analyst, you will:
Support specific ongoing improvements in procurement operations capability and maturity at Thomson Reuters by contributing with the implementation of best-practice technical capability, methodology and standards.
Provide required support in the analysis of the spend, contracts and supply market supporting the larger initiatives taken up by Operations Sourcing. Serve as the primary internal and sponsor contact for Spend Data questions.
Support the integrated transformation strategy and project management activities for Global Procurement processes and systems.
Build opportunity pipeline in assigned areas of spend that will support Operations Sourcing leadership to drive collaborative discussions with Category Leads to clearly understand business requirements and applicable category strategy/plans.
Knowledge of technical discipline and good understanding of functional groups within procurement operations.
A developing professional taking on more complex work assignments, still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyses possible solutions using standard procedures.
Interprets customer needs and assesses requirements, Maintain high customer satisfaction.
Maintain and support data ingestion tools and automation scripts.
Manage and resolve data related issues that are reported by customers and internal employees.
Communicate effectively including standardized monthly reporting, and ad hoc reporting.
Conduct quality and business logic checks on all data entering and exiting systems.
Identify and communicate risks and opportunities.
Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and standardize business process, and enhance operational controls and efficiencies
About You:
You are a fit for the role of Data Analyst, if your background includes:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
Mode of Working : Hybrid (2-3 days mandatory WFO in a week)
Shift Timings: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST
Minimum of 3 years of financial/data analysis experience.
B2+ English Level; Fluent in English written and spoken (Portuguese or Spanish knowledge is a Plus).
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and technical accounting knowledge.
Knowledge of Data Modeling concepts.
Experience with SAP WRP and S4 Hana.
Expert user of Power BI.
Advance knowledge of Excel.
Experience with Snowflake, SQL, AWS, or any other database program.
Alteryx knowledge is a plus.
Power Apps knowledge is a plus.
Driven by curiosity to innovate and seek solutions.
Effectively manage large volumes of requests.
Proactive problem solving skills.
Organized, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
