Key job responsibilities
In this role, you'll have a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Design and Delivery: Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable tax technology solutions.
- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of tax reporting data for specific tax jurisdictions, addressing data quality issues, and defining functional requirements for technical development.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with tax teams to enhance efficiency and controller-ship in current processes, educating them on data acquisition for reporting, planning, and controller-ship.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering relationships with the tax, business and engineering teams across Amazon.
- Metrics Development: Support the creation of new metrics to quantify the value of various aspects of tax data.
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- 2+ years of experience designing and building Alteryx workflows.
- Experience in business or financial analysis
- Proficiency in written communication and ability to produce high-caliber documentation
