Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI tailored to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
• Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret cost data from Azure and GCP, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Data Integration: Integrate the FOCUS dataset with organizational financial hierarchies to deliver comprehensive insights into cloud spending.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to align cloud costs with business objectives, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational priorities.
• FinOps Implementation: Support the implementation of FinOps principles, including chargeback, showback, and cloud cost optimization practices.
• Insight Delivery: Provide actionable insights and deliver regular reports to leadership, enabling data-driven strategic decision-making

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 3–6 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on cloud cost data and cloud optimization.
• Proven experience working with datasets like FOCUS or equivalent cloud cost datasets.

Technical Skills

• Data Reporting Tools: Proficiency in Power BI, including advanced visualization techniques, data modeling, and DAX calculations.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, and Microsoft Fabric (nice to have).
• Strong understanding of Azure and GCP cost management tools, billing APIs, and pricing models.
• Proficiency in scripting/query tools such as PowerShell, Resource Graph Queries, and BigQuery.
• Solid skills in data analysis, data cleaning, and deriving insights from large datasets.
• Knowledge of FinOps practices, including cloud governance, chargeback/showback, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with resource types and cost models in Azure and GCP to identify opportunities for cost efficiency.

Soft Skills

• Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.

This is a full-time position based in Bengaluru, India.
