D&T Planning Manager - Express

Purpose of the Job

The IT Planning Manager is responsible for managing business demand from express for IT activities related to Digital Technology.

The overall purpose of this role is to:

• Managing demand for IT services across the Digital and Technology department.
• Align and ensure quarterly reviews are conducted across stakeholder groups for all in-flight/completed work.
• Assessing project priority, inter-dependencies, delivery implications, financial considerations, value proposition, and strategic alignment.
• Regularly engage with key stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure alignment of IT plans with business objectives.
• Continuously assess risks associated with IT projects and initiatives, develop risk mitigation strategies, and monitor their implementation to minimize potential disruptions.
• Establish Objectives and Key Results to track the performance of IT projects and initiatives, analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to senior management.
•  Facilitating IT investment and planning governance processes.
•  Facilitating IT governance forums as necessary.

Job Description

Customer:

• Develop a portfolio of demand for projects and services aligned with express strategies.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to manage the impact of business development bids on customer satisfaction and requirements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to IT Leadership and key business stakeholders to ensure express needs are met.

People:

• Work with the Aramex IT team to prepare annual planning updates/changes to Aramex IT strategy and translate into a 1-year plan and performance objectives.
• Be the trusted advisor to IT Leadership and key business stakeholders in all aspects of the portfolio of work to assist in planning and prioritization across the investment portfolio.
• Facilitate IT resourcing estimates to enable accurate forward planning.

Project: Prioritize and schedule IT Solutions projects/initiatives to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals. ·

• Develop and maintain planning processes and standards to support execution of business strategy. ·
• Optimize the portfolio of projects to ensure that IT demand is able to be executed within project constraints.

Operations: Assess risk and inter-dependencies identification across IT demand and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operations. ·

• Contribute to improvement and innovation in the planning processes and systems used across the planning globally in Aramex. ·
• Drive planning and decision-making processes in line with organizational timelines to maintain operational efficiency.

Financial Result: Assess the forward view of business demand against budget to ensure financial sustainability. ·

• Support the development of IT budgets and forecasts (strategic, operational, project, risk) to align with financial objectives. ·
• Ensure proposed IT solutions demand aligns to Aramex Business Goals and Objectives and delivers tangible business outcomes within financial constraints.

Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s in IT, computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, investment management, portfolio management in a complex IT environment.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills at Senior Executive level.
• Demonstrated successful experience with IT planning and strategy in a large-scale global organization.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment, exposure to Transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of IT finance principles and practices.
• Logistics and Supply Chain knowledge and expertise desirable.
