We are looking for a multifaceted Problem Manager to drive problem resolution across a strategic programme for LSEG! We are delivering a critical programme redefining some of LSEG's most meaningful services and products, we need you! The Problem Manager will drive the delivery and management of all problem activity for the strategic programme delivering measurable benefits and realisation of permanent fixes and incident reduction!
Role summary
This role leads the Problem Management process coordination and management across the strategic programme, partnering across the business to find innovative solutions to problems and implementing resolutions that drive real benefit to the success criteria of the programme
We need a great collaborator, with gravitas, capable of driving complex problem resolutions, stakeholder groups and reporting progress to senior management and leadership, you will take ownership of a portfolio of open problems and drive them to closure, looking for opportunities to improve and bring your skills and experience to make valuable contributions.
What you'll be doing:
- Assistance in driving Business & Operational Excellence projects in areas of report quality and research process improvement.
- Engages with partners that cross multiple functionalities for process development, implementation, and support.
- Provides training and SME support to the user community. Initiates and leads Service Improvement Projects (SIP); coordinates business-as-usual and ad hoc activities to improve service and/or reduce cost.
- Creates process requirements, reviews functional requirements, validates solutions, coordinates, and participates in testing, coordinates and participates in process rollouts for complex or multiple simple enhancements.
- Assists testing teams in the translation of requirements into test cases and ensures application architecture and systems functionality meets business requirements.
- May act as escalation point for functional team or business unit.
- Coordinates multiple small and/or medium size projects dealing with complex issues with guidance from management.
- Uses requirements traceability principles and change control processes in execution of daily responsibilities.
- Provides routine and ad hoc status updates and coordinates/facilitates meetings as needed. Interacts with partners (possibly international), team members, and management within or across organizations for the purpose of communication, collaboration, and influencing.
- Recommends process and tool improvements, reviews improvement proposals
- Ensures that documented requirements meet quality standards. Defines, develops, and coaches others in best practices for requirements gathering and management. Bullet the key responsibilities/landmarks that you want the person to accomplish in the job

You'll bring:
- Strong problem-solving experience with a variety of partners
- Previous problem management experience
- Kepner Tregoe trained, preferably certified
- Excellent communication and articulation skills of complex problems (Executive Level)
- Ability to handle a large number of partners objectively and expertly
- Experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of technical subject area or specialism
- Solid understanding of other roles within the function or Business Unit and how they are connected
- Knowledge of relationships between all relevant groups within the company
- Adapts traditional approaches to solutions and applies in different circumstances
- Shows strength in a specific field across a range of related issues
- Leads routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
- Provides input to department objectives and goals of a sub-Business Unit or function
- May lead budgets for small projects or programs
- Advises middle management on functional matters, or on interpretation of policies and practices
- May train or mentor professional colleagues
- Makes recommendations that may craft operational strategy
- Resolves nature of complex or undefined problems; independently identifies the best solution from many alternatives
- Calls out higher risk or more unique problems
- Decisions require interpretive thinking and some judgment in developing solutions
