The major responsibilities include:
• The candidate be responsible for the Structured Finance and Corporate Credit Research function of the CIO team (primarily, Global CLO’s, and RMBS, ABS and Corporates). The role will participate in credit Due-Diligence, credit/macro research efforts and ongoing monitoring of the Investment Portfolio Securities. The role will also help support the Investment process of the CIO function across a number of different asset classes. This position requires working closely with others in CIO, Global Treasury, ERM and business partners throughout the bank to support company-wide initiatives and the overall data management strategy. Specific responsibilities include:
• Oversee the approval and recommendation process of the research team across a number of different SF asset classes (US CLOs, EUR CLOs, European & US ABS, & European and UK RMBS), and Corporate Credit to an extent
• Support credit surveillance process that meets or exceeds requirements set forth by international regulators and ensure adherence to all credit risk guidelines
• Actively participate in business as usual deliverables and key projects to enhance our processes and analytics
• Responding in a timely and accurate manner to ad-hoc requests and participate in audit process
• Maintaining risk excellence by challenging assumptions, escalating potential issues and executing required controls to support oversight and governance requirements
• Keep a close watch on market developments and analyze its impact on the portfolio.
Candidates should have the following characteristics:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Finance or quantitative discipline
• 4-5 years of experience in working on Securitization credit and/or research function
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents related to transactions such as Offering Memorandum, Term-sheets, Investor reports etc
• Exposure to corporate sectors, reading company reports like balance sheet, financial statements will be an added advantage
• Exhibit a high level of flexibility towards undertaking additional responsibilities as required to contribute to the overall team’s success.
• Detail-oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Excellent excel spreadsheet skills (coding skills are an additional benefit)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organisation.
• Python experience will be a plus
