Join Team Purple. Join IFS.Job DescriptionThe Corporate Accountant is a detail-oriented professional responsible for the General Ledger accounting of IFS World Operations India Private Limited. This role involves managing financial records and preparing financial statements while ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations. This is a key position in supporting the organization's financial operations by providing accurate and timely information for stakeholders.Essential Duties and AccountabilitiesRecording Financial Transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions in the General Ledger.Preparing Financial Statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensuring Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards (Indian GAAP/IFRS) and regulations, such as the Companies Act and Income Tax Act.Conducting Reconciliations: Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.Calculating Taxes: Handle GST and TDS calculations, and provide accurate financial information to support corporate tax filings and related inquiries.Maintaining Financial Records: Ensure systematic organization and maintenance of financial records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.Supporting Audits: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Implementing Controls: Monitor internal financial controls to prevent errors and fraud.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting practices and systems.QualificationsEducational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or AccountingProfessional qualifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CMA (Cost and Management Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) are preferred.Work Experience:3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles for entry to mid-level positions.Skills:Technical Skills:Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (Indian GAAP/IFRS).Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Communication Skills:Effective verbal and written communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and preparing reports.Other Requirements:Additional certifications in taxation, financial analysis, or auditing can be advantageous.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong ethical standards and integrity in handling financial information.Willingness to learn and adapt to new regulations, technologies, and processes.Additional InformationWe believe that coming together as a community, in person, is important for innovation, connection and fostering a sense of belonging.
