The Business Resiliency group, in partnership with the business, is responsible for the management and delivery of the J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Business Resiliency Program which includes: development of business resiliency plans, coordination of testing of recovery strategies and coordination of incidents & crisis management.
As a Business Resiliency Manager in Asset & Wealth Management Team you will partner with business and process owners to ensure that effective and compliant resiliency plans are documented and tested so bank operations will continue with minimal impact during any disruptive events. Your other key partnerships exist with the internal providers of Business Recovery Facilities and Technology, as well as with firmwide Resiliency, Compliance, Audit, Risk and other control disciplines.
Job responsibilities
- Advise and counsel the business partners in the development, implementation and maintenance of robust Business Resiliency (BR) Plans
- Coordinate business participation and completion of resiliency testing as required by firmwide BR standards and AWM procedures
- Over see business resiliency compliance. Ensure BR Plans and tests meet all required standards and comply with the appropriate legal and regulatory landscape
- Identify opportunities to strengthen resiliency and manage the deployment of innovative solutions in collaboration with the business and / or resiliency partner teams
- Promote Business Resiliency and the BR program by across the business resiliency community
- Provide firm-wide and, if applicable, AWM Business Resiliency [tools] training to BR Plan Managers / Owners
- Deliver BR reporting and provide support to audits or other control activities
- Manage the business response to incidents. Provide advice and counsel to stakeholders and coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure that all necessary incident management activities (including after action reviews) are undertaken
- Duties as assigned to support the AWM Business Resiliency Management projects and strategic initiatives; attend stakeholder engagement meetings as BR ambassadors and participate to include (but not limited to) change / innovation forums / working groups, senior management meetings, specific region and or AWM meetings
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong relationship and influencing skills including the ability to interface at all levels with business, operations and technology
- Project management & personal organization skills with ability to work well both as an individual and as part of a team
- Strong analytical, time management and problem solving skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in business resiliency, disaster recovery, crisis management or related functions
- Professional industry certification, e.g. BCI/DRII
