As a Control Manager - Vice President within the Suitability Control Program Management team, you will be at the forefront of PB's Suitability framework. You will collaborate with various teams across different locations, ensuring ongoing compliance with Suitability and related regulations. Your role will involve both change management and BAU activities, providing you with the opportunity to define strategic roadmaps, manage budgets, and oversee end-to-end controls. This role offers the chance to influence senior stakeholders and design pragmatic solutions that meet regulatory expectations.
Job Responsibilities':
- Publish and review daily/weekly performance metrics pertaining to the function, identify and track reasons for deviation from agreed levels or expected behavior. Ensure follow-up and escalate all aging items.
- Manage group email boxes and SharePoint queues to ensure queries are resolved/responded to within a timeframe and manner sensitive to the urgency of the event, thereby maintaining internal/external client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve client issues.
- Monitor and analyze client feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Facilitate regular meetings with clients to discuss performance metrics and promote improvement opportunities.
- Utilize data analytics tools to assess performance and make data-promote decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Minimum 7years in banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with Suitability regulations in Asia or EMEA.
- Understanding of financial products from stocks and bonds to complex derivatives and alternatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or a Master’s/equivalent (MBA, CFA, FRM).
- Strong project management and organizational skills for timely delivery.
- Basic programming and data-analytical skills (e.g., MS Excel, Tableau, Python).
