The Consultant role is a high-visibility position that provides extensive opportunities to foster and grow your consulting career. You will be expected to engage directly with clients on various Procurement, and Supply Chain related initiatives focused on improving efficiency, driving effectiveness, and increasing the ability to influence spending and drive value through their organizations.
What can you expect to do?
- Flexible and adaptable to perform under pressure; operate in ambiguous situations with minimal oversight, excel in rapid problem-solving while ensuring attention to detail
- Ability to establish strong client relationships to gain exposure and experience by working with cross-functional teams on various projects, ranging from spend analysis, strategic sourcing, forecasting, and consolidation
- Understand and effectively manage a team of 8 to 10 Analysts’ governance and performance
- Understand the level of risk and propose mitigation plans; partner with other support teams to resolve requests/issues on time
- Clearly communicate team goals and deliverables and keep updated on scope changes
- Coach team members and provide the first-level advice on procedures and methodologies
- Solve increasingly complex problems and effectively delegate to develop and groom team members for succession planning
- Use data analytics and storytelling techniques to enhance the client journey
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments to develop TCO & Should Cost models and present findings to key client stakeholders by leveraging presentation, data analytics, advanced Excel competencies

What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
- Previous experience in Supply Chain / Procurement
- 3 - 5 years previous supply chain, Procurement, or consulting experience with a Fortune 1,000 company
- Expert level skills with financial assessments, data assessments, MS Excel (including pivot tables), creating charts and graphs, and creating MS PowerPoint presentations
- At least 3 years of Procure-To-Pay platform experience (Ariba, Coupa, etc.) is highly preferred
- Ability to work comfortably with all levels of the organization
- Self-starter, multi-task, flexible, demonstrating initiative and confidence
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including formal presentation skills
- Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Adaptable communication ability to conform to the varied corporate cultures and organizational structures of our customers
- Supply chain and procurement assessments: interviewing, modeling and analytics, report writing
- Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: scoping, market and supplier research, RFx (development, management, and evaluation), negotiations
- Internal: benchmarking, client research, proposal development, and other internal projects
- Developing technical efficiency with spend assessments and visibility tools to scope opportunity assessments, e.g., create spend assessments, establish baseline spend, and calculate realized savings from sourcing events
