Job Title: Compliance Executive
Job Summary: The Compliance Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's compliance program to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves working across all departments to promote a culture of compliance, mitigate risks, and maintain the company's integrity and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and programs
Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization's operations
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop mitigation strategies
Oversee internal audits and compliance reviews across all business units
Investigate reported compliance violations and recommend appropriate corrective actions
Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors
Provide guidance and advisory support to management on compliance-related matters
Establish and maintain an effective compliance reporting system, including a confidential hotline
Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors
Collaborate with Legal, HR, and other departments to address compliance concerns
Manage the compliance budget and resources effectively
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in compliance management
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and industry associations
Lead and mentor the compliance team, ensuring their professional development and effectiveness
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CAMS) preferred
8+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., FCPA, AML, GDPR, SOX)
Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies
Excellent understanding of risk assessment and management principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong ethical standards and integrity
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Proficiency in compliance management software and data analysis tools
Experience in conducting internal investigations and audits
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Industry-specific knowledge relevant to the organization's sector
