Job Title
In this role, you will work closely with the Self- Service Implementation Manager to oversee the installation, testing, and validation of new self-service hardware, including bag drops and kiosks. The incumbent will demonstrate expertise ensuring the successful implementation of self-service projects, contributing to the seamless operation of our systems.
On-Site Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of new self-service hardware.
Testing and Validation: Test and validate the functionality of new self-service hardware.
Hardware Configuration: Configure hardware components to ensure proper operation.
Documentation: Complete and execute commissioning document templates.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve device, software, and network issues during project implementation.
Status Updates and Escalation: Provide regular updates on project status and escalate issues promptly.
Equipment Readiness: Ensure onsite equipment is ready for customer testing.
Commissioning Checklist: Follow a detailed commissioning checklist covering electrical, electromechanical, and networking tasks.
System Health Check: Conduct comprehensive health checks of the entire system.
Feedback: Provide feedback to engineering, manufacturing, and support teams.
5+ years previous experience working on airport and/or airline projects, with a focus on airport automation, airport IT, and baggage handling.
Has practical experience with self-service equipment deployment, airport devices (e.g., printers, scanners). Basic understanding of computer networking (LAN level routing, TCP/UDP, basic firewalls) is desired.
Is familiar with various self-service products and hardware components. Experience with Git or similar version control systems is a plus.
Is an excellent collaboration skill to work across all teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Support, Sales, and Project Management.
Has ability to work independently or with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong initiative and critical thinking.
