CMF Designer:
CMF Designer is responsible for creative direction, ideation, visualization and physical material developments of all visible surfaces of a Mobility Solution, for both exterior and interior design. Apart from being able to effectively present the CMF Design solutions, it requires strong coordination, work management and timely deliveries with related project teams and supplier network.

Reports directly to: Head of Design - A&CD Asia
Other collaboration: Creative Design Team, Digital Design Team
Internal: A&CD Team, Communications Department, Sales, RSC engineering organization (TD, COE, TSS, R&D), Procurement, Intellectual properties Organization.
External: Customers, Suppliers, Design Organizations, Design Agencies and Consultants, Cultural institutions.
Eligibility & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s program from a reputed design or other creative / material research discipline or related streams
- With a minimum professional experience of 2 years or more in handling CMF Design Responsibilities
- Excellent level / Mastery on CMF Design & Visualization tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Substance, VRED).
- Workload Management Experience with strong skills in Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel) + Design Presentation Techniques.
- Professional experience of Production Design, DFQ, DFM, DPQ Processes.
- Knowledge of industrial environment and associated technical and economic issues.
- Flexibility, ability to work on multiple projects with varied workscope
- Experience of ensuring design deliverables meet required quality standards.
- Good Interpersonal and Communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills in written, visual and verbal forms.
- Drive and Passion for sustainable future / mobility ecosystem and related solutions.
- Exceptional level of Fresh Ideation, storyboarding and presentation skills
- A portfolio demonstrating CMF Design / Material Research work is essential to apply for this position.
Role & Responsibility:
- Colour, material, and finish (CMF) design proposals focused on New Mobility Needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand design requirements and develop CMF Proposals and Strategies to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Collaborate with Mobility Design Team to analyse the customer specifications, the cultural context and the innovative CMF Direction (Colour story, Materials, Perceived Quality, Graphics & Livery) to ensure the projects and tenders have the inspiring relevance to the Market and the Region.
- Research on Cultural, Technological and Geo-Political Trends that have an influence on CMF Design workscope.
- CMF Visualization – Hands on engagement in VRED Renderings / Postproduction / Presentations.
- Deliver CMF Design directions that are compliant to applicable technical, contractual, legal and standards requirements as per the Market and Region.
- Participate in Design Committees Reviews with Head of Design, Creative Design Team, Digital Design Team, Visualization Team during Design Presentations.
- Manage material development with global suppliers from Design to production stage.
- Lead research assignments on emerging trends in CMF in Mobility design and provide insights for sustainable / eco material development.
- Engage in creating CMF design presentations, material boards and mock-ups with internal and external colleagues.
- Timely delivery of A&CD deliverables to achieve Design Reviews / Project milestones.
- Ensure the consistency of the data deliveries for Internal & External Schedules
- Improve relations and information exchanges with related projects teams.
- Promote the Importance of A&CD Design Vertical to all stakeholders inside and outside of the organization.
- Be able to organize and plan workload according to Tenders and Projects in progress.
- Manage workhours and timelines in accordance with the project budget.
- Ensuring the archival of completed projects and managing ongoing project / resource files on secured Database.
- Collaborate with the team to develop design proposals and ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Stay up-to-date and introduce newer AI tools and integration techniques and keep innovating design approaches and methods.
- Fluent English communication is essential for the Role.
