- Recommends new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment; drives new technologies towards implementation and exploitation.
- Establishes overall platform architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged; contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture.
- Creates the construction of infrastructure architecture components.

- Analyze and evaluate client requirements against Unisys portfolio offerings and architecting those requirements into a competitive solution
- Act as an expert on Cloud and infrastructure management and coordinate architect resources to develop the solution architecture.
- Present solutions to internal and client stakeholders and map customer requirements to solutions
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and design cloud solutions that align with strategic objectives.
- Lead cloud migration projects, including assessing existing environments, planning migration strategies, and executing migrations with minimal downtime.
- Architect and implement multi-cloud solutions leveraging AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI services to meet performance, scalability, and cost requirements.
- Design and implement automation workflows using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools to streamline provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and best practices guides.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on cloud-native application design, microservices architecture, and containerization.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and make recommendations for adoption based on business value, performance, and security considerations.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security controls.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting efforts to ensure the reliability and efficiency of cloud environments.
- Defines infrastructure architecture standards that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards.
- Directs projects to identify enterprise level technology and architectural standards, guidelines, principles, frameworks, and reference models.
- Competently contributes technical expertise to enterprise programs and projects; evangelizes architecture and technical strategies, and influences project and program direction toward enterprise technology standards and architectures; is able to escalate non-conformance to appropriate governance bodies.
- Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process.
- Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.

You will be successful in this role if you have:
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in architecture, infrastructure or system engineering.
- 2+ years’ experience in writing scripts for infrastructure automation using terraform/ansible and gitOps
- 5+ years of significant experience with cloud computing, in particular architecting enterprise solutions on public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and how to measure TCO versus traditional approaches.
- Significant experience with the tooling required to effectively automate DevOps efforts in the cloud, such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with enterprise-class instrumentation and monitoring products.
- Multi-year experience in cloud migration and rearchitecture efforts, with clear understanding of the relevant drivers and decision-points the enterprise must consider.
- Experience operating at a strategic architecture level and providing guidance and support to teams operating in an agile delivery method.
- Experience considering and weighing costs, complexities, supportability, and adherence to well-designed principles when defining solutions and road maps.
- Experience leading infrastructure design and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Experience is planning architecting and executing the Cloud Migrations, technology transformations, hybrid cloud enablement.
- Hands on experience on AWS Cloud services (EC2, Direct Connect, VPN, EBS, Redshift, DMS, VPC, S3) Implementation and automation.
- In-depth knowledge in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) space working with tools such as vSphere/vRO/vRA and OpenStack.
- Working knowledge of Public and Private clouds (Hybrid , integration and management)
- Programming Experience with cloud orchestration frameworks
- ITIL Foundations certified or higher preferred
- System Integration experience in Cloud solutions
- Working experience in DevOps setup
- Public clouds certifications are a welcome plus
- Competence on container technologies, application hosting, understanding of microservice architectures, Service Mesh
- Experience managing major, complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products.
- Experience with defining and implementing practical SLA, RPO, and RTO targets.
- Experience leading the research of emerging cloud and infrastructure trends to identify potential opportunities for the enterprise.
- Experience transitioning the entirety of an on-premise infrastructure environment to AWS and other 3rd party SaaS and PaaS solutions.
- Monitoring and logging tools
- Excellent verbal communication skills
