The Role: Cloud Security Engineer


The Team: The Global Mobility Cloud Security Architecture and Engineering team is responsible for the day to day Security standards, governance and Security solutions and reporting for the Global Mobility Division.


The Impact: The Security Architect role is a division wide role that will work with key senior stakeholders, including the BISO and CISO, across the business to ensure compliance with various internal, regulatory and business requirements.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud and Application Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Security Engineer working on applications that run in the cloud, your primary responsibility is to ensure the security of the applications and data hosted on the AWS platform. This role requires a strong engineering focus, emphasizing the integration of security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.


Responsibilities:


- Conduct thorough security assessments and identify vulnerabilities in applications running on AWS.


- Engineer and implement robust security controls to protect against potential threats.


- Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle, ensuring secure design and coding from the outset.


- Provide detailed guidance on secure coding practices and architectural security principles.


- Engineer solutions for monitoring and responding to security incidents effectively.


- Conduct regular and comprehensive security audits to ensure ongoing compliance and security posture.


- Stay updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and vulnerabilities in the AWS ecosystem.


- Engineer and provide remediation guidance with SonarQube, Mend, and Web Inspect findings, ensuring actionable and effective solutions.


- Support application teams in their development requirements, providing engineering expertise to embed security from the ground up.


- Develop sustainable processes to feed into Power BI dashboards to visualize and support findings, enabling better decision-making and tracking of security metrics


-Collaborate on regular and comprehensive security audits to ensure ongoing compliance and security posture


What We’re Looking For


- 6 - 8 years strong engineering background with in-depth knowledge of AWS services and network security.


- Familiarity with industry standards such as OWASP Top 10 and NIST guidelines.


- Experience with secure coding practices and architectural security principles.


- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on engineering robust security solutions.


- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, capable of articulating complex security concepts to development teams.


- Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments.


- Ability to provide clear and actionable remediation guidance based on security tool findings, with a focus on engineering effective solutions.


- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and ISO 9001, ensuring compliance and security alignment with industry regulations.
